We spent our wedding night here and it really was the perfect English country house hotel. In fact what was so amazing about it was that it did not actually seem too 'hotely'. Everything was still very old fashioned with no plasma TV screens or groovy telephones. It had a certain charm to it that I cannot put my finger on necessarily. The next morning we walked around the gardens which are so beautiful they are worth a visit even if you are not staying at the hotel.
